MRVJune 2013: The International Partnership on Mitigation and Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) launched the ‘Knowledge Map,’ a new knowledge management feature that provides an overview of issues and processes related to Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS), Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs), and MRV.

The Knowledge Map’s objective is to provide clarity on linkages among LEDS, NAMAs and MRV, for example, on NAMA financing, development and prioritization. As a living document, the Map will be regularly updated based on international negotiation developments.

The International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV was launched within the framework of the Petersberg Climate Dialogue in May 2010 in Bonn, Germany, by South Africa, South Korea and Germany. The aim of the Partnership is to support a practical exchange on mitigation-related activities and MRV between developing and developed countries.
