IEA’s OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin Discusses Renewables, Low-Carbon Technologies

The March issue of the IEA's OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin highlights a best practices guide on the deployment of renewables-based residential heating and cooling, and introduces the work of the IEA's International Low-Carbon Energy Technology Platform.

14 March 2011: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has released the March issue of its OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin, highlighting new publications, proceedings and upcoming events.

Issue number 76 of the Bulletin opens by discussing the deployment of renewables-based residential heating and cooling, covered by a recent IEA best practices guide on the topic. It continues with an introduction to the work of the IEA’s International Low-Carbon Energy Technology Platform, created at the request of the G8 and IEA Ministers. The Bulletin also highlights recent publications on the future of the Indian power sector, as well as energy efficiency in the Russian Federation.

The Bulletin also features articles on, inter alia: hydropower and the environment; the commissioning of low-energy buildings; photovoltaic power systems; and the benchmarking of residential air conditioners. [Publication: OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin Issue 76]
