21 July 2010: The Committee on Energy Research and Technology of the International Energy Agency (IEA) has published the 70th issue of its OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin.

This issue of the OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin introduces a number of policy-relevant IEA publications and websites, and highlights relevant upcoming conferences. The news stories address, inter alia: IEA’s presentation of three background papers at the Washington Clean Energy Ministerial; the presentation of IEA’s Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) report at the G8 Summit in Muskoka, Canada, in June 2010; a new IEA report on innovative energy contracting as a demand-side tool for exploiting energy-savings potential; IEA’s recent Nuclear Technology Roadmap; renewables in Southeast Asia; a recently concluded workshop on research needs in the area of energy storage; and new IEA research and development projects.
