17 March 2010: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has published the 66th issue of the OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin, which focuses on industry motivation for low carbon technology, financing sustainable energy, second generation biofuels, and various renewables technologies.
Among other pieces, the Bulletin features an interview with IEA’s Deputy Executive Director, Ambassador Richard H. Jones, discussing the IEA’s role in promoting private sector investment in renewables. Also interviewed is Anselm Eisentraut, the lead researcher on IEA’s recent study on second generation biofuels. In addition, the newsletter highlights publications from the IEA Solar Power and Chemical Energy Systems programme (SolarPACES), and the IEA Wind programme. Finally, it was announced that Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standards is the focus of the new Task XXII of the IEA Demand-Side Management Programme (DSM).
