The International Energy Agency (IEA) is offering "25 Bright Ideas" to help citizens conserve energy and increase energy efficiency in their daily lives.
Starting 3 December, IEA will promote one idea per day over Twitter and Facebook.

30 November 2012: The International Energy Agency (IEA) is offering “25 Bright Ideas” to help citizens conserve energy and increase energy efficiency in their daily lives. The 25 Bright Ideas build on the 25 Energy Efficiency Policy Recommendations produced by the IEA and international experts in 2008 and updated in 2011. Together, the two sets of recommendations offer strategies for citizens and policy-makers to reduce energy use in various areas, including finance, buildings, appliances, lighting, transport, industry and utilities. The IEA has calculated that if all 25 recommendations were adopted globally, they would potentially reduce worldwide energy consumption by 17% and prevent up to 7.6 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year by 2030, equivalent to 1.5 times current US annual CO2 emissions.[Press release] [IEA 25 Bright Ideas] [Publication: 25 Energy Efficiency Policy Recommendations- 2011 Update]
