Guyana, Norway Ambassadors to Continue Consultations on FfD Conference

UN General Assembly (UNGA) President Sam Kutesa announced the appointment of George Talbot, Permanent Representative of Guyana, and Geir Pedersen, Permanent Representative of Norway, as co-facilitators of “open, inclusive and transparent consultations” on all issues related to the third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD) and its preparatory process.

the-president-of-the-unga8 October 2014: UN General Assembly (UNGA) President Sam Kutesa has announced the appointment of George Talbot, Permanent Representative of Guyana, and Geir Pedersen, Permanent Representative of Norway, as co-facilitators of “open, inclusive and transparent consultations” on all issues related to the third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD) and its preparatory process.

The Conference will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 13-16 July 2015.

Talbot and Pedersen were first appointed by John Ashe, President of UNGA 68, in January 2014, to lead consultations that culminated in the UNGA decision on the holding of the FfD Conference. In July 2014, UNGA 68 requested the President to appoint co-facilitators to continue related consultations (A/RES/68/279).
