GSP Secretariat Concludes its Work

Concluding its work on 31 July 2012, the Secretariat of the UN Secretary-General's High-level Panel on Global Sustainability (GSP) notes that the report “will continue to inspire action towards The Future We Want, and to suggest options for a sustainable future for humanity.

It is upon all those concerned … to make the best use of the legacy left by the Panel.”

31 July 2012: The Secretariat of the UN Secretary-General’s High-level Panel on Global Sustainability (GSP) has announced that it has concluded its work. The Secretariat’s announcement notes that the Panel’s report “will continue to inspire action towards The Future We Want, and to suggest options for a sustainable future for humanity. It is upon all those concerned … to make the best use of the legacy left by the Panel.”

The report of the Panel, titled “Resilient People, Resilient Planet: A Future Worth Choosing,” was published on 3o January 2012, and launched in a series of events leading up to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
