Germany Commits Funding to FAO for Climate-Smart Agriculture

17 December 2010: The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN announced Germany’s commitment of almost $6 million for climate-smart agriculture, sustainable livelihoods and food and nutrition security.

The climate-smart agriculture funding will support policy development and capacity building on the links between bioenergy and food security, and a three year project to improve climate change mitigation within the agricultural sector. [FAO Press Release]
