30 March 2009: The Global Environment Facility’s (GEF) Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel (STAP) held a workshop on 30 March 2009, in Washington DC, US, to develop the Panel’s scientific and technical guidance for the Fifth GEF Replenishment’s (GEF-5) strategic programming on climate mitigation policies and technologies.

The meeting produced a summary of the state-of-the-art understanding of mitigation science, technology and policy with relevance to GEF-5 and a Synthesis Report highlighting technologies, programs and sectors for submission to the GEF’s Technical Advisory Group on Climate Change (TAG CC).
