GEF SGP Launches Fifth Operational Phase in Asia

A six-day workshop in Asia gathered regional coordinators for the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) to share lessons learned and receive guidance on the future orientation and results based management framework for the GEF SGP fifth operational phase, to take place during the next four years.

21 August 2011: The Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) held a six-day regional workshop with coordinators from Asia, to provide training and guidance on the vision and strategy of the programme, results-based management framework and GEF’s visibility policy for the next four years.

The workshop, held in Beijing, China, from 15-21 August 2011, launched the SGP’s fifth operational phase in Asia. GEF SGP regional coordinators shared lessons learned and good practices on community-based approaches to biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, land degradation, international waters and chemicals.
