Forest Carbon Partnership Facility Holds Eighth Participants Committee Meeting

25 March 2011: The Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) held its eighth Participants Committee Meeting (PC8) from 23-25 March 2011, in Dalat, Viet Nam.

At the meeting, participants considered policy matters related to Mexico’s proposal to increase the number of PC Bureau Members, issues related to the Multiple Delivery Partners under the Readiness Fund, and the interim results of the FCPF Program Evaluation. On the assessment of Readiness Preparation Proposals (R-PPs), the PC heard reports on the enhancement of the R-PP template, as well as presentations by Ethiopia, Viet Nam, Cambodia and Peru on their R-PPs. Informal presentations were made on draft R-PPs by the Central African Republic, Liberia and Uganda. The FCPF also considered an update on the FCPF Carbon Fund, including cost-sharing between the Readiness Fund and the Carbon Fund. [FCPF PC8 Agenda]
