First Commonwealth Regional Symposium Held for the Caribbean

The first Commonwealth Public Private Partnership (PPP) regional symposium for the Caribbean was held in Antigua, providing an opportunity for experience sharing in infrastructure and PPP development, as well as discussions on developing a regional initiative for PPP collaboration and resourcing for the Caribbean.

14 April 2011: The first Commonwealth Public Private Partnership (PPP) regional symposium for the Caribbean took place in St. Johns, Antigua, from 12-14 April 2011.

The symposium, held on the theme “Building Networks Amongst Peers,” brought together senior government officials, including those responsible for PPP or infrastructural development in their countries, together with regional counterparts from the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM). The aim of the symposium was to allow participants to share their experiences on infrastructure and PPP development in their countries and to participate in brainstorming sessions on developing a regional initiatives for PPP collaboration and resourcing for the Caribbean. In addition, participants were requested to identify potential PPP projects to be developed in their respective countries. [Caribbean Press Release]
