10 July 2008: In the North-East Gallery of the UN Visitors’
Lobby, an exhibit entitled “The Amazon Forest & Climate Change” opened on
10 July 2008, and will be on display until 6 August 2008.
Organized by the
Health and Happiness Project and the Amazonian Working Group, the exhibit
includes small-scale models and informational panels to enhance understanding
of the Forest’s role in the climate, as well as how climate change is impacting
the Amazon Forest.
