The UN Environment Programme OzonAction Programme and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Turkey jointly convened a meeting of European and Asian Ozone Officers from 26-30 April 2010. Over 30 Ozone Officers attended the Joint Meeting of the Regional Ozone Networks for Europe and Central Asia to exchange experiences on phasing out the use of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) widely use in refrigeration, air-conditioning and foam production.
