EBRD and International Confederation of Energy Regulators to Increase Collaboration

EBRD and ICER signed an MoU to boost collaboration on regulatory issues to promote deeper dialogue on capital investment in energy infrastructure.

8 March 2012: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is increasing collaboration with the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER), with the signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU is aimed at promoting a deeper dialogue between energy regulators and the EBRD on issues relating to capital investment in energy infrastructure. Through the MoU, the parties have committed to share information and explore good practices to facilitate reform in energy infrastructure.

Thomas Mirow, EBRD President, noted that the collaboration between EBRD and ICER will leverage their respective experience in building transparent, predictable legal and regulatory frameworks.
