DESA, NGLS Gather Feedback on Post-2015 Zero Draft

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) and the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) have invited NGOs, civil society organizations and organizations participating in the Major Groups to contribute feedback on the zero draft of the outcome document for the UN Summit to adopt the post-2015 development agenda.

Submissions will be compiled and made available to the UN system, UN Member States, and all stakeholders.

post20154 June 2015: The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) Division for Sustainable Development (DSD) and the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS) have invited NGOs, civil society organizations and organizations participating in the Major Groups to contribute feedback on the zero draft of the outcome document for the UN Summit to adopt the post-2015 development agenda. Submissions will be compiled and made available to the UN system, UN Member States, and all stakeholders.

The co-facilitators for intergovernmental negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda, David Donoghue of Ireland and Macharia Kamau of Kenya, issued the zero draft, titled ‘Transforming our world by 2030: A new agenda for global action,’ on 2 June 2015.

Respondents can provide specific suggestions of edits or amendments to the elements of the zero draft by 21 June 2015.

UN Member States will consider the zero draft during the remaining negotiation sessions, taking place on 22-25 June, 20-24 July and 27-31 July 2015, in New York, US.
