UNDESANovember 2014: The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) has called for input to the 2015 edition of the Global Sustainable Development Report, which integrates existing assessments, reviews and future predictions by the scientific community on sustainable development. Scientists, researchers, and UN staff are invited to submit briefs on research findings or solutions on issues of sustainable development, which will be reflected in a dedicated chapter of the report. Submissions will be accepted until 31 December 2014.

“The Report aims to make the findings of a wide range of scientific assessments available to the deliberations of the new High-level Political Forum and beyond,” said UN Under-Secretary-General Wu Hongbo, at the meeting of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in July 2014.

The 2015 edition seeks to incorporate more extensive inputs by the UN Regional Commissions, government officials, stakeholders, representatives of scientific academies, international assessments, and UN expert groups.

The 2015 issue of the Global Sustainable Development Report will be submitted to the third session of the HLPF in June 2015. [Call for Contributions] [Global Sustainable Development Report Website] [DESA Newsletter]
