The Framework was established at World Climate Conference-3, which was held from 31 August-4 September 2009. The newsletter also covers upcoming events, in particular a ministerial meeting on weather, climate and water, organized by the WMO in partnership with the African Union, which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 12-16 April 2010.
