8 May 2015: The Secretariat of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGR) has opened the electronic consultation on sustainable use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA). The consultation, based on an electronic survey, will be open until 24 May 2015.

The survey, prepared by the Secretariat under the supervision of the ITPGR Ad Hoc Technical Committee on Sustainable Use of PGRFA, aims to gather a set of prospective tools to develop the toolbox on sustainable use of PGRFA. The responses will be analyzed and reported in a synthesis document at the sixth session of the ITPGR Governing Body, to be held in October 2015, in Rome, Italy.
