18 January 2013: The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) has announced that the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Executive Director has appointed Bradnee Chambers as the new CMS Executive Secretary.

Chambers currently heads the Environmental Law and Governance Branch of the Division of Environmental Law and Conventions at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi. He is expected to take up his new position in the near future. He succeeds Elizabeth Maruma Mrema. [CMS Notification]
