© CBD14 July 2009: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated its quarterly report covering developments from 1 April-30 June 2009.

Reported activities on biodiversity and climate change include: the second meeting of the CBD Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group (AHTEG) on Biodiversity and Climate Change, held from 18-22 April 2009, in Helsinki, Finland; communication of the findings of the AHTEG to the 30th meeting of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Body on Scientific and Technical Advice (SBSTA); circulation of the AHTEG report for peer review; provision of biodiversity-relevant inputs to the Sectoral Meeting on Climate Change in the context of Sustainable Development convened by the League of Arab States and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP); and development of a work plan for updating the website on ecosystem-based adaptation and gathering of case studies.
