2 September 2011: At the request of the 61st meeting of the Standing Committee to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the CITES Secretariat has published the draft joint Action Plan of the CITES/Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) Secretariats.

The Action Plan contains: a list of activities; an indicative list of envisaged common tasks; a summary of envisaged tasks; and related time-frames and costs. Parties are requested to send comments on the draft Plan by 31 October 2011. [CITES Notification, containing Draft Action Plan]
