6 June 2012: The Government of China has released a report titled “The People’s Republic of China National Report on Sustainable Development,” in advance of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20). The report assesses progress made in China since 2001 in implementing the country’s national sustainable development strategy.
The report analyzes existing gaps and challenges, puts forward future strategic initiatives, and clarifies China’s positions on key issues to be addressed by governments at Rio+20.
