The Panel is charged with developing recommendations to the CDM Executive Board on guidelines for baseline and monitoring methodologies, and preparing recommendations on submitted proposals for new methodologies. Its 40th meeting was held from 14-18 September 2009, at the UNFCCC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany. At the meeting, the Panel considered 23 proposed new methodologies, and agreed to recommend two for approval and eight for non-approval. It was unable to conclude consideration of the other cases and will continue to consider them at its next meeting. The Meth Panel also considered requests for clarification on, and revision to, approved methodologies, as well as issues of general guidance and tools. The Panel confirmed that its next meeting will convene from 19-23 October 2009. [Meth Panel website] [Meth Panel report]
