CDM Methodologies Panel Calls for Public Input

The Panel is calling for pubic input on the draft revised methodology for “Leak detection and repair in natural gas production, processing, transmission, storage and distribution systems and in refinery facilities,” which expands the applicability of the methodology to refinery gas and other natural gas operations and introduces a further alternative to calculate baseline emissions based on default values.

UNFCCC6 July 2011: The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Methodologies Panel has launched a call for public inputs on the draft revised methodology for “Leak detection and repair in natural gas production, processing, transmission, storage and distribution systems and in refinery facilities.”

The revision to the methodology, inter alia, expands the applicability of the methodology to refinery gas and other natural gas operations and introduces a further alternative to calculate baseline emissions based on default values. Inputs are requested from interested stakeholders and inputs received will be considered at the Panel’s 51st meeting, schedule from 15-19 August 2011. The call for inputs is open from 7-17 July 2011.
