11 February 2012: The Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has launched five calls for experts to act as members of its panels, working groups and teams.

The first call is for experts to act as members of the CDM Methodologies Panel (MP). The Methodologies Panel prepares recommendations on guidelines for methodologies for baselines and monitoring plans, and on submitted proposals for new baseline and monitoring methodologies. This call for experts is open from 8 February to 3 March 2013.

The second call is for experts to act as members of the CDM Afforestation and Reforestation Working Group (A/R WG). This working group was established to prepare recommendations on submitted proposals for new afforestation/reforestation baseline and monitoring methodologies. This call is also open from 8 February to 3 March 2013.

The third call is for experts to act as members of the CDM Small-Scale Working Group (SSC WG), which considers matters relating to small scale methodologies for baselines and monitoring plans, and new baseline and monitoring methodologies for small scale CDM project activities. This call is open from 8 February to 3 March 2013.

The fourth call is for experts to act as members of the CDM Accreditation Panel (AP). The AP is responsible for matters relating to the accreditation of operational entities. This call is also open from 8 February to 3 March 2013.

The last call is for experts to join the CDM Registration and Issuance Team (RIT). The CDM RIT is a group of external experts that assist the Executive Board by assessing submissions relating to the registration of CDM projects and the issuance of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs). This call for experts is open until 31 March 2013.
