5 January 2012: The Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has launched a call for new members for the CDM Methodologies Panel, the Afforestation and Reforestation (A/R) Working Group, the Small Scale Working Group and the CDM Accreditation Panel.

The Methodologies Panel develops recommendations to the Executive Board on guidelines for methodologies for baselines and monitoring plans and prepares recommendations on submitted proposals for new baseline and monitoring methodologies. The Executive Board is inviting applications from experts to act as members of these Panels and Working Groups, with a view to selecting the members for the new terms of service of the Panels and Working Groups during the 67th meeting of the Board. Current Panel and Working Group members can submit their applications for automatic inclusion in the short list, should they wish to continue. Experts wishing to be considered by the CDM Executive Board as members are invited to apply online. The call for applications is open until 5 February 2012.
