story highlights

To help in the selection process aimed at determining which documents and which UN languages will be most beneficial to CDM users, the public is invited to complete an online survey prior to 26 June 2011.

UNFCCC17 June 2011: The Executive Board (EB) of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has invited the public to participate in selecting which of its decisions will be translated into the six official UN languages.

The Board agreed, at its 60th meeting, to make its decisions available in all six official UN languages, in accordance with a decision of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP). Such translation is aimed to help enhance regional distribution of CDM projects and public participation in the CDM process. To help in the selection process, the public is invited to complete an online survey. The results of the survey will help determine which documents and which UN languages will be most beneficial to CDM users. The survey is open until 26 June 2011. [The Invitation] [The Survey]
