CCAFS8 February 2014: The Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security Program (CCAFS) of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) has re-launched a website of open access facts, maps and graphics illustrating the nexus among climate change, agriculture and food security issues.

The site addresses the challenge of communicating science through simple insightful graphics for integrating into presentations and reports. The site explores themes related to food emissions, climate impacts on production and people, adaptation, mitigation, and policy and finance.

It presents information on a regional basis, exploring diet, consumption, and mitigation and adaptation through over 100 infographics. The site includes 33 fact sheets and will be updated by CCAFS.

The Big Facts site was originally launched in December 2012, with a more reduced scope. The re-launched site includes updates to a lot of the previous data, as well as new data and infographics on a significantly broader range of topics.
