The Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security Program (CCAFS) of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) has reported on a workshop for the Climate Food and Farming Network (CLIFF), which brought together eight graduate students from Argentina, Bangladesh, Colombia, India, Kenya and Uganda.
14 February 2014: The Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security Program (CCAFS) of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) has reported on a workshop for the Climate Food and Farming Network (CLIFF), which brought together eight graduate students from Argentina, Bangladesh, Colombia, India, Kenya and Uganda.
CLIFF is an initiative launched by CCAFS in 2011 in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Ecology, University of Copenhagen. CLIFF is an international research network that links researchers and doctoral students working on climate change mitigation and adaptation in small-scale farming and food systems.
CLIFF aims to enhance the quality and quantity of scientists working on climate change and food security, and support PhD research. Grants have been provided to integrate PhD students into CGIAR Centres and to contribute to research related to the Standard Assessment of Mitigation Potential and Livelihoods in Smallholder Systems (SAMPLES).
