13 December 2010: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated its Monthly Bulletin of Activities for October 2010.
The Bulletin focuses on the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the CBD and the fifth meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties (COP/MOP) to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. It also features reports on several other meetings held in Nagoya, Japan, on the margins of CBD COP 10 and COP/MOP 5, including: the joint CBD-Aarhus Convention Workshop; the fair on national experiences with implementation of the Biosafety Protocol; the training workshop on the Biosafety Clearing-House; the City Biodiversity Summit; the South-South Cooperation Forum; the High Level Forum on Biodiversity in Development Cooperation; and the Rio Conventions’ Ecosystems and Climate Change Pavilion.
