CBD Liaison Group to Address Geo-Engineering

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has called for experts to participate in a liaison group to work on defining climate-related geo-engineering and assessing the potential impacts of geo-engineering on biodiversity.

21 April 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has called for experts to participate in a liaison group to work on defining climate-related geo-engineering and assessing the potential impacts of geo-engineering on biodiversity.

Establishment of the liaison group is funded by the Government of the UK. Its members should possess knowledge and understanding of geo-engineering, global change processes and biodiversity. Applications should be sent to the CBD Secretariat by 1 June 2011. Most of the work of the liaison group will be carried out electronically, however some members will meet from 29 June-1 July 2011, in London, UK. [CBD Notification]
