11 January 2010: The December 2009 Monthly Bulletin of Activities of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) includes an overview of CBD activities during the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, which took place in December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark.These activities included: holding a side event on “Connecting Biodiversity and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation”; launching three publications on biodiversity and climate change mitigation and adaptation, forest resilience, biodiversity and climate change, and the impacts of ocean acidification on marine biodiversity, as well as a fact sheet on biodiversity, gender and climate change; participating in “The United Nations Delivering as One on Climate Change” event; co-hosting the third Forest Day on 13 December 2009; and signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Secretariat of the UN Forum on Forests.
