20 June 2017: Recent weeks have brought news regarding activities of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), which welcomed its 300th Network member and published updates on its ongoing technical assistance. Another CTCN member developed a dual water treatment and solar heating system that could save millions of lives.

The CTCN is the operational arm of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, hosted by UN Environment (UNEP) and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This Update brings you news on its recent activities.

The CTCN welcomed the Instituto Internacional de Recursos Renovables (IRRI) from Mexico as its 300th Network member. The Network includes technology experts from civil society, finance, the private sector and research institutions around the world, which partner with governments to facilitate enhanced action on technology development and transfer.
