Busan Outcome Document Released Ahead of Development Cooperation Forum

The outcome document from the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, held in Busan, Republic of Korea, in November and December 2011, was released and forwarded for consideration to the UN Development Cooperation Forum.

The outcome document invites the DCF to play a role in consulting on the implementation of agreements reached in Busan.

July 2012: The outcome document from the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) was released and forwarded for consideration to the UN Development Cooperation Forum (DCF), which took place from 5-6 July 2012, in New York, US. The outcome document invites the DCF to play a role in consulting on the implementation of agreements reached during HLF-4.

Kim Sook, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea to the UN, sent the Outcome Document from the Fourth High-level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF 4), held in Busan, Republic of Korea, from 29 November-1 December 2011, to the DCF.

The Busan outcome document, inter alia: describes shared principles; addresses the complexity of new actors in development aid; commits to actions for progress toward the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); calls for a Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation to monitor the implementation of commitments; identifies sustainable development as the end goal of effective cooperation; and describes strategies for combating corruption and illicit flows.
