5th Event Approaching on "Living with Risk"
March 2009: The Bonn Dialogues on Global Environmental Change will be held as a special event of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development and will take place on 1 April 2009, in Bonn, Germany. Panelists will discuss the role of education, training and adaptation and coping strategies used to deal with the world’s growing environmental hazards.

The event is organized in recognition of the fact that climate change is adding new and more complex dimensions to the problem of risk. The dialogue series is jointly organized by the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change, the UN University Institute for Environment and Human Security, and the German Committee for Disaster Reduction in partnership with the city of Bonn.
