Application Period Opens for IEA Training Courses

The courses cover energy issues relevant to government officials and the private sector in developing countries.

The courses are free of charge but participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.

The application deadline is 31 January 2012.

IEA16 January 2012: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has announced a call for applications for five one-week courses, from 2-6 April 2012, covering energy issues relevant to government officials and the private sector in developing countries.

The courses, to be held at IEA headquarters in Paris, France, are to cover the topics of: Energy Essentials for Decision Makers; Energy Markets and Security; Energy Efficiency Policy and Measures; Renewable and Low-Carbon Energy Technology; and Energy Analysis and Modeling. Two introductory courses are also to be offered on 29-30 March 2012, on energy security (introduction to oil and gas markets), and sustainable energy (introduction to energy efficiency and renewables).
