Afghanistan and Cambodia Accede to the Rotterdam Convention

The Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention has announced that the governments of Cambodia and Afghanistan have acceded to the Rotterdam Convention on Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade.

March 2013: The Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention has announced that the Governments of Cambodia and Afghanistan have acceded to the Rotterdam Convention on Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade.

According to the Secretariat, in accordance with article 26 (2) of the Convention, the Convention will enter into force for both Cambodia and Afghanistan on 30 May 2013.
