October 2013: The Steering Committee for the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) 3rd Scientific Conference has selected the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Conference.

Applications for this Committee were requested by 18 August, and the selection process was conducted by the Steering Committee of the UNCCD 3rd Scientific Conference with support from the UNCCD Secretariat. The UNCCD 3rd Scientific Conference will consider the topic ‘Combating Desertification Land Degradation and Drought (DLDD) for poverty reduction and sustainable development: the contribution of science, technology, traditional knowledge and practices.’ The meeting is expected to take place in early 2015.
