ADB Waves Discusses Asia Water Week 2013, ADB Projects in India and Sri Lanka

31 October 2012: The 10th issue of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Waves newsletter highlights the call for abstracts for Asia Water Week 2013, ADB projects in Sri Lanka and India, and upcoming events.

The newsletter notes the 16 November 2012 call for abstracts deadline for Asia Water Week 2013, which will be organized around the theme “Securing Water for All.” It reports on an ADB investment of US$ 300 million in rehabilitation of the water and sewage systems in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a facility to mobilize finance for investment in critical infrastructure in India.

The newsletter also highlights upcoming meetings, including the seventh Network of Asian River Basin Organizations (NARBO) Training on Integrated Water Resources Management, from 2-9 November, a Follow-up Consultation Workshop on the national Road Map for Floods Early Warning System Development in Bangladesh on 5 November, and the Philippines Flood Management Knowledge Sharing Forum from 4-5 December.
