The Zayed Future Energy Prize represents the vision of the Late Founding Father of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, who championed sustainability and environmental stewardship. The prize categories (Large Corporation, SME, NGO, Lifetime Achievement and Global High Schools Prize) focus on supporting emerging businesses and individuals. The award ceremony takes place during Abu Dhabi Sustainabililty Week (ADSW), which will include: IRENA's General Assembly; the 2013 World Future Energy Summit (WFES); the International Water Summit 2013; and the Abu Dhabi International Renewable Energy Conference (ADIREC).
