The conference, ‘Youth Employment in Agriculture as a Solid Solution to Ending Hunger and Poverty in Africa,’ aims to foster an exchange among stakeholders on knowledge and best practices regarding the interlinkages among agriculture, youth employment, entrepreneurship and information and communication technology (ICT) innovations, with a view to prioritizing interventions going forward.

The event will focus on the following themes: youth and entrepreneurship; digital innovation to overcome agriculture value chain-related constraints; and future of agriculture work.

The conference is organized by the African Union (AU) and Rwanda’s Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, in partnership with the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), International Labour Organization (ILO) and others.
