World Maritime Day 2020 will be held on the theme: Sustainable shipping for a sustainable planet.
The purpose of the theme is to provide opportunities for leaders from various sectors, including shipping, to reflect on the work done so far, as well as on the urgent steps needed for a sustainable future.
World Maritime Day 2020 will be celebrated at International Maritime Organization (IMO) Headquarters on 24 September 2020. Its parallel event will be held in Durban, South Africa in the last week of October.
