World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the auspices of the World Health Organization, as well as other related organizations.

In 2020, World Health Day will focus on the vital role played by nurses and midwives in providing health care around the world, and call for strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce. 

The World Health Day 2019 focused on universal health coverage.
