To commemorate World AIDS Day 2016 and the commitment to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030 as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UNAIDS will host a special event on 'Moving Forward Together: Leaving No One Behind,' on 30 November 2016. Also on the occasion of World AIDS Day, the UN Department of Public Information (DPI) in collaboration with UNAIDS will organize a special briefing on 'Ending the AIDS Epidemic by 2030: How can Civil Society Revitalize the Response?'. In addition, there will be a screening of 'Dallas Buyers Club,' followed by an intervention from Jeremiah Johnson, HIV Prevention Research & Policy Coordinator at the Treatment Action Group, on his personal experience of living with HIV.
