This two-day workshop, organized by the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and the German Academy of Science as part of the German-South African Year of Science 2012/13, will discuss topics such as the water-energy-food nexus, technology and economic growth, smart grids, solar power, and low carbon innovations for poverty alleviation. The goal of the workshop is to provide evidence-based information that will be relevant for both policymakers and researchers.
