This event is organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in cooperation with the World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF), a member of the CGIAR System Organization, and the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS). The workshop will provide information on how to jointly increase bioenergy availability and food security in rural Africa while ensuring positive social and environmental impacts. Presentations will include winners of IRENA's call for submission of good practices for Sustainable Rural Bioenergy Strategy in Africa 2017.
