Women and Road Safety: Are We on Track to Meet SDG Target 3.6?

The event “Women and Road Safety: Are We on Track to Meet SDG Target 3.6?” is being held to coincide with International Women's Day and will consider, among other things, how the needs of women are being taken into account in the formulation of road safety policies.

The event is being organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as part of its March on Gender programme of work, and is designed to fit into the theme of the 2022 International Transport Forum (ITF) Summit – Transport for Inclusive Societies, and in particular to the Ministerial Roundtable “Meeting the road safety challenge: Halving the deaths and injuries by 2030.” Road safety is a target of SDG 3 (ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages) and this event aims to provide input to the UN High-Level Meeting on Road Safety in New York at the end of June.
