NASA’s Applied Remote Sensing Training Program is offering this webinar on accessing and analyzing PM2.5 measurements in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this webinar, participants will learn how to analyze PM2.5 (related to Air Quality SDG indicators 3.9.1 and 11.6.2) over cities using satellite observations and will cover accessing the data, analyzing long-term trends, and combining PM2.5 and population data sets to understand long-term exposure. Participants in this free webinar will: become familiar with the SDGs as well as the satellite observations of air quality that are used to calculate indicators 3.9.1 and 11.6.2; learn about PM2.5 estimates made using satellite, surface, and model data sets; and understand how to use the 2014 WHO data set and access the indicator data for a city or country. The three, one-hour sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 15-29 March, and will be available twice each Wednesday: at 11:00-12:00 p.m. and 8:00–9:00 p.m. EDT (UTC -4).
