The Water Security and Climate Change Conference (WSCC) 2018 will bring together researchers, professionals, practitioners, politicians, industry, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other stakeholders to advance discussions towards water secure societies. Special attention will be given to the current discourse on water security and related SDGs. Topics to be addressed include zero hunger and food security (SDG 2), ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation (SDG 6), clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11) and combating climate change and its impacts (SDG 13).
The conference is organized by Kenyatta University (Kenya), Centers for Natural Resources and Development (CNRD) and partners, in cooperation with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and EXCEED – Excellence Centers for Exchange and Development, with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
